Are you passionate about service and technology? Then the position of security technician at the Technical Administration might be just what you're looking for!

As a security technician at Hallstahammar Municipality, you will play an important role in ensuring that our properties are protected and meet the regulatory requirements in the best possible way. Your tasks will be varied and contribute to improving the municipality's technical systems and the service we offer our residents. 

You will be part of a diverse and dedicated group of a total of 29 people, including technical administrators, property managers, carpenters, plumbers, operations technicians, alarm technicians, and IT technicians, as well as two team leaders. The unit is responsible for everything from internal and external maintenance of the municipality's properties, including locks, alarms, access control, and IT infrastructure to property planning with maintenance plans, etc. A rolling schedule for on-call duty during evenings/weekends may occur.

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking on significant responsibility and independently planning their work. You are flexible and like to take your own creative initiatives in your daily work. Furthermore, we see that you are a good team player with strong collaboration skills. The work is performed both individually and in groups, so it is important that you enjoy that mix. Hallstahammar Municipality manages approximately 62 properties covering a total of 160,000 square meters, creating a dynamic and developing work environment. The municipality is facing many exciting changes and has several large projects underway that will affect the entire municipality. Among other things, extensive energy and renovation projects are ongoing, as well as the construction of a new school, sports hall, and nursing home.

Responsibilities

• Key Management: Manage key systems, new acquisitions.
• Access Control Systems: Troubleshooting, creating new users and groups, performing minor service tasks.
• Fire Alarms: Basic troubleshooting, connecting and disconnecting fire alarms, managing smaller projects.
• Burglar Alarms: Basic troubleshooting, connecting and disconnecting burglar alarms, managing smaller projects.
• CCTV: Basic troubleshooting, retrieving footage during incidents, managing smaller projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar position
• Fire alarm management training 
• Good technical understanding 
• Independence, attention to detail, and good communication skills
• Driver's license for manual transmission
• Good knowledge of property systems (e.g., Vitec, Momentum, or similar)
• Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Sprinkler management training
• Experience with alarm systems, access control systems, fire alarms, and camera systems
• Experience with sprinklers and fire alarms
• Previous work as: Alarm technician, low current technician, or fire alarm technician
• Good knowledge of English
